Mrs. Pinkard

Mrs. Rena Mae Elizabeth Pinkard, age 98 of Rockmart, passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2017.

Mrs. Pinkard was born in Rockmart, Georgia on Jan. 8, 1919 daughter of the late Emma Robinson Clark and the late Joel Green “Joe” Clark.

She was a member of the New Prospect Baptist Church, enjoyed her flowers and had a great love for family.

Mrs. Pinkard was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. James “Jim” Woodrow Pinkard; a daughter, Mrs. Diane Marchbanks; two sons, Mr. Billy Pinkard and Mr. Jimmy Pinkard; and a brother, Mr. Harvey Clark.

Mrs. Pinkard is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Jackie Aiken and her husband Paul of Lake City; two sons, Mr. Harold Pinkard and his wife Brenda of Cedartown, and Mr. Gary Pinkard and his wife Faye of Dallas; son-in-law, Paul Marchbanks; thirteen grandchild­ren; thirty greatgrand­children; twentyone great- great grandchild­ren; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Pinkard were held at 2 p.m. on Monday, June 26, 2017 in the chapel of the Freeman Harris Funeral Home with Rev. Owen (Bud) Davis, Jr. officiatin­g.

Interment services followed in the family lot of t he Bellview Baptist Church Cemetery.

The following gentlemen served as pallbearer­s: David Pinkard, Lee Freeman, Tim Marchbanks, Billy Wynn “Pete” Pinkard Jr., Chad Pinkard and Sonny Pinkard.
