Mrs. Sullivan
Mrs. Blanche Scoggins Sullivan, age 88 of Aragon passed away Friday morning, July 14, 2017.
Mrs. Sullivan was born Oct. 31, 1928 in Aragon, daughter of the late Clifford Scoggins and the late Katie Bishop Scoggins. She was a former employee of the Goodyear Mill and of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Sullivan loved to work in her garden and grow flowers, but her family meant everything.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Johnny “Red” Sullivan on October 16, 2006; daughter, Linda Sullivan; son, Melvin Sullivan; grandson, John Caleb Garrison; two brothers, Donald Scoggins and Junior Scoggins; and four sisters, Bert Scoggins, Frances Arp, Glenda Fitzpatrick and Margie Knowles.
Survivors include two daughters and sons- inlaw, Katie and Lamar Spinks of Aragon and Brenda and Gary Garrison of Franklin, Louisiana; Joyce and Whit Dunn of Centre, Alabama; t wo s ons and daughters- in- law, Ray and Carol Sullivan of Cartersville and Michael and Barbara Sullivan of Cedartown; sister, Sue Bradshaw of Aragon; eleven grandchildren and twenty- six greatgrandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Sullivan were held on Sunday, July 16, 2017 at 3 p.m. in the chapel of the Freeman Harris Funeral Home with Rev. Greg Robinson officiating.
Interment services followed in the family lot of the Aragon Cemetery.
The following gentlemen served as pallbearers: Ray Sullivan Jr., Travis Spinks, Jason Sullivan, Donald Sullivan, Matt Garrison, Trevor Spinks, Colton Knight and Josh Robinson.
