Mr. East

Mr. Joe David East, age 79 of Cedartown, passed away on Saturday, July 8, 2017. He was born on June 6, 1938 in Cedartown, Georgia. He was the son of the late Richard and Fannie Miller East.

Mr. East is survived by his loving wife, Mary McCray East; son and daughter-in-law, Brad and Cindy East; daughter, Tammie East Walker; 5 grandchildren, Whitney Walker (Mike), Chase Walker, Tristan Walker, Bryce East (Haley), Brett East; 3 great- grandchildren, Bentley Howard, Branson East, Braxton East; sister, Janis Beck(Fred); sister- in- law, Lucy Garner; brother, Curtis East; and brother-in-law, Richard Cole (Sandy).

Mr. East is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Diane Cole, Joan Farmer; ans brothers, Howard East, and Wilburn East.

A Graveside service for Mr. David East will be conducted on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at t wo o’clock in the afternoon in the Polk Memory Gardens Cemetery with Rev. Randy Vines officiating and eulogy by Ms. Whitney Walker. Interment will follow the service with Full Military Rites conducted by the Brewster Cleveland American Legion Post 86 Honor Guard.

The family will receive family and friends on Monday, July 10, 2017, from six o’clock in the evening until ei g ht o’clock in the evening at the Gammage Funeral Home.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Bryce East, Brett East, Chase Walker, Tristan Walker, David Whitfield, and Mike Davis.
