Mrs. Carole Shaw Jennings, age 72, of Cedartown, passed away on Friday evening, July 28, 2017 following an extended illness.

She was born on September 28, 1944 in Rome, the daughter of the late Harland Shaw and the late Jeanette Lindsey Shaw. Mrs. Jennings was also preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie Lee Jennings on June 7, 2010.

Mrs. Jennings is survived by her daughters, Angie Jennings and Richard Davis and Kelly Jennings Davis and Eric Davis; her son, Jason Jennings; her brother, Wayne Shaw and Elaine; her grandchild­ren, Ethan Davis, Seth Davis, Dustan Short, Leann Short and Nathan Jennings and five great grandchild­ren.

A number of nieces and nephews also survive.

The memorial and interment service for Mrs. Carole Shaw Jennings and Jimmie Lee Jennings was conducted on Monday afternoon, July 31, 2017 at 2 p.m. in the Polk Memory Gardens with Rev. Jimmy Russell officiatin­g.

The family received friends immediatel­y following the service.

The Lester C. Litesey Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangemen­ts for Mrs. Carole Shaw Jennings. Rica; a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services were held Friday, July 28, 2017 at 1 p.m. in the chapel of the Alvis Miller and Son Funeral Home with Rev. John Hooper officiatin­g.

Interment followed in the New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearer­s included: Phil Thomasson, Caden Smith, Heath Watkins, John Watkins, Gage Warren and Beau Warren.
