Mahan, Rockmart; two granddaugh­ters: Tammy Garrett (Tim), Rockmart and Tonya Mahan (Mark Jones), Rockmart; two great grandsons: Griffin Garrett and Brady Garrett both of Rockmart.

Graveside committal services were held Wednesday, July 26, 2107 at 11 a.m. in Mozley Memorial Gardens, Lithia Springs.

The Alvis Miller and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangemen­ts.

Mr. Maxwell

Mr. Jacob Maxwell, age 21 of Piedmont, Ala., passed away on Sunday, July 23, 2017.

He was born on May 30, 1996 in Rome, the son of Chuck and Tina Maxwell.

Mr. Maxwell is survived by his parents, daughter; Amaya Maxwell, brother; Timothy Maxwell, his grandparen­ts; Paul and Wynette White and Barbara Maxwell.

He is preceded in death by his grandfathe­r, Gene Maxwell, Aunts; Lisa White and Donna Hogue, uncles; Tony Maxwell and Ricky Maxwell, and a cousin; Tyler Williams.

A service for Mr. Jacob Maxwell was conducted on Wednesday, July 26th, at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Gammage Funeral Home with Rev. Dennis Harrell officiatin­g.

The family received friends on Tuesday evening, July 25, 2017 at the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home.

The following gentleman served as pallbearer­s; Mitch White, Ryan McCord, Jody Maxwell, Steven Maxwell, Cole Maxwell, and Andrew McLarty. Honorary pallbearer­s were Cory Lindsey, Tim Maxwell and Michael Shaw.

Mrs. Thomas

Mrs. Bobbie Frances Thomas, age 78, of Rockmart (the Yorkville community) passed away on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at her residence following a lengthy illness.

She was born in Paulding County on April 9, 1939 a daughter of the late Claude Allen Lemon and Euther Alexander Lemon.

Mrs. Thomas had lived in the Polk and Paulding County area for many years.

She had also lived in Virginia, Mexico, Mississipp­i and Tennessee with her family as her husband served as a Pastor and Missionary for many years.

She was a devoted pastor's wife, mother and grandmothe­r. She taught Sunday school and on many occasions served as a speaker at women's conference­s.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Thomas was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. James Richard Thomas and a brother, Jerry Allen Lemon.

Survivors include a son, Barry Thomas and wife Lori, Barnesvill­e; daughter, Beverly Thomas Battles and husband John, Rockmart; two sisters: Carolyn Hutcheson, Rockmart and Annette Gamel, Concord, N.C. Eight grandchild­ren and five great grandchild­ren also survive.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at 3 p.m. in the chapel of the Alvis Miller and Son Funeral Home with Rev. Trey Jones and Rev. Bob Lee officiatin­g.

Interment followed in Polk Memory Gardens.

Pallbearer­s included: Barry Thomas, David Thomas, Justin Thomas, John Battles, David Battles and Jonathan Battles.

Mrs. Everette

Mrs. Valerie Joyce (Jerzak) Everette, age 75 of Kaysville, Utah formerly of Rockmart, Georgia passed away Saturday, July 22, 2017.

Mrs. Everette was born November 10, 1941 in Hinsdale, Illinois, as the only child of Victor and Helen (Shewchuk) Jerzak. She spent her childhood in Illinois where she graduated from Proviso East High School. She went on to attend Northern

Illinois University and Berry College in Rome, Georgia. She married Michael K. Singleton in June of 1962 in Winfield, Illinois and later divorced. In January of 1974, she married Deryl C. Everette, Sr. of Rockmart.

She was an active member of the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and had a passion for family history. She valued the time she spent with her family and friends and was always willing to lend an ear to listen. Her compassion was one of her greatest traits both as a mother and a wife.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Deryl C. Everett, Sr. on October 21, 1993.

Survivors included her sons, Geoff (Bennie) Singleton, Clifford (Elaniea) Singleton, Chris (Joan) Singleton and Deryl (Patty) Everette, Jr.; daughters, Vanessa (Chris) Coats, Cheryl Ruebel and Heather (Ryan) Cracroft; 24 grandchild­ren and many great-grandchild­ren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Everette were held on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Freeman Harris Funeral Home with Rev. Don Garmon officiatin­g. Interment services followed in the family lot of Rose Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society for continued research and treatment options.

Myers Mortuary of Ogden, Utah is in charge of the out to town arrangemen­ts.

Freeman Harris Funeral Home is in charge of the local funeral services for Mrs. Valerie J. Everette.

Mrs. Thomas

Mrs. Briana Staci Thomas, age 25 of Cedartown, passed away on Saturday, July 22, 2017.

She was born on March 15, 1992 in Rome.

Mrs. Thomas is survived by her wife, Destiney Allmon Thomas; fa- ther and step-mother, Stacy and Amanda Jo Thomas; brothers, Tristan Thomas, Jeremy Eason and wife Hope, and Jordan Eason; sisters, Amber Duggan and husband Byron and Stacee Thomas; grandparen­ts, Margaret Thomas and Gloria Gulley; nephews, Graysen Duggan and Brysen Duggan and cousins, Morgan, Kendall, Kamryn and Trent Thomas.

Mrs. Thomas is preceded in death by her grandfathe­rs, William Thomas and Ordie Gulley.

A memorial service for Mrs. Briana Staci Thomas was conducted on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at 7 p.m. in the chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with Rev. Neil Hopper, Mr. Heath Watkins and Mr. Dee Pruitt speaking.

The family of Mrs. Thomas will received friends prior to the memorial service hour at the Gammage Funeral Home.

Mr. Mann

Mr. Robert Laverell Mann, age 53, of Cedartown, passed away Saturday evening, July 22, 2017.

Mr. Mann was born April 12, 1964 in Talladega, Ala., the son of Laverell Mann and Sandra Nabors McClellan Mann.

He was a veteran and served in the United States Army as a Medic for 15 years. He was employed at Floyd Medical Center for Air Mark.

Surviving are his mother, Sandra McClellan, father, Laverell Mann, three brothers, Richard Dale Mann, Aaron Kyle Mann and Sam Forrister; a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

In keeping with his wishes his Mr. Mann will be cremated and a memorial service and interment service will be announced at a later date and time.

Ms. Coley

Ms. Daphne Marie Parish Coley, age 39, of Centre, Ala., passed away Friday, July 21, 2017.

Ms. Coley was born in Rome, on May 25, 1978.

She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Parish.

Survivors include one daughter, Taylor Coley of Centre, Ala.; one son, Tyler Coley of Centre, Ala.; two sisters, Tammy Davis of Gadsden, Ala., and Valerie Miler of Rome; mother, Deborah Stringfiel­d Parish of Centre, Ala.; grandmothe­r, Violet Eads of Centre, Ala.; and a number of other relatives.

The family conducted a memorial service Saturday, Aug. 12, 2017 at 3 p.m. at 214 Doe Valley Road, Tallapoosa, 30176.

Cremation services are provided by Hutcheson’s Memorial Chapel and Crematory of Buchanan.
