We had a few errors in the past weeks we felt the need to correct, and apologize for the mistakes.

In the Aug. 16 edition in a story titled “Latest county work session ends without decision on move forward for paid fire department,” we provided details that were incorrect about previous voting on the fire plan for local residents. The only vote the county has provided a referendum on was in 2014.

In this past week’s edition, we had three errors. First on A5 under the arrest reports, information about Kristen Rebecca Dean was incorrect. She is 27 years old and lives in Rockmart. On A3, we ran a story about the Cedartown City Commission holding a meeting that was called off due to Hurricane Irma in anticipation of it going forward. That meeting was held later on Sept. 18 with only one addition, approval of the annual lease agreement with Primary Healthcare for their space at One Door Polk. Finally, we had an error on the time that lunch is served in our story on Linda’s Restaurant in Rockmart on Page A11. Service of the full menu begins at 8 a.m.
