There’s still time for fall fun at Carlton Farms.

- By Tyler Williams SJ Correspondent

A family friendly atmosphere and plenty of activities during the fall gives one local farm not just a place for people to seek adventure, but also find their way to a feeling of home again.

Carlton Farms is hosting a corn maze and other activities this fall and through the final weekend of October, where children can play and enjoy a day outdoors with play areas including a silo filled with seed corn, carnival games and more.

The real star of the show however is their corn maze, covering 5 acres of land and this year from the air is in the pattern of the Rockmart High School Marching Band logo.

This is the 17th year that the corn maze has opened to the public.

What Carlton Farms has provided this community for the past century almost, since 1919, is not only dairy products, a festive occasion for its community to enjoy, but also the Carlton Farm has created a home grown organization that’s sole purpose is to give back to and support its community and the schools.

A hot topic that’s been up in question is if the haunted corn maze will ever make an appearance back at Carlton Farms since the last maze thrown was back in 2012.

Sadly the haunted maze did not take a return to the scene this year, but Gayla Carlton said that there is a possibility that the haunted maze would take a return.

“That’s a possibility,” said Carlton, “If we did decide on bringing it back it would have to be a family decision.”

Carlton farm is open on the weekends through Nov. 4, and will host the public on Fridays from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., Saturdays 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sundays from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Prices are: $ 7 to go through the corn maze and additionally for the hayride, animal barn and play area is $7. Combined tickets are $12 per person.
