Early voting closes out at the end of the week at the Polk County Board of Elections office in Cedartown, located at 144 West Ave. and at the Nathan Dean Community Center in Rockmart. Those who have already registered to vote can participat­e in the vote for the 2017 E-SPLOST countywide, and those who live in Aragon, Cedartown or Rockmart’s Board of Education District 6 also have votes for municipal candidates. The Court Appointed Special Advocate of Haralson and Polk County needs your help today in making sure that foster children have positive influences in their lives and to help the best interests of our community’s youth. The Cedartown City Commission meets for their work sessions on the first Monday of each month, and then for their regular session the following Monday at 6 p.m., unless otherwise noted.
