Mr. Charles J. Waites age 80 of Cedar­town, passed away Sun­day Oct. 22, 2017.

Mr. Waites was born Oct. 8, 1937, i n Polk County to the late Josh and Idella Berry Waites and was also pre­ceded in death by wife Peggy Craft Waites, broth­ers David Waites, Ed Waites, Sis­ters Sharon Bai­ley and Opal John­son.

Mr. Waites was em­ployed by Ma­ri­etta Toy­ota un­til his re­tire­ment and later worked at Ad­vance Auto Parts.

Sur­viv­ing are his sons Charles and Linda Waites Jr., and Ca­son and Ce­cilia Waites, sis­ter Grace Sparks, seven grand­chil­dren, Bethany Waites, Corey Waites, Jor­dan Waites, Cole Waites, Anna Waites, Chan­dler Waites and Me­gan Waites along with nu­mer­ous neph­ews and nieces also sur­viv­ing.

Fu­neral Ser­vices for Charles J. Waites were con­ducted Wed­nes­day Oct. 25, 2017 at 2 p.m. from the Chapel of the Lester Lite­sey Fu­neral Home with Rev. Den­nis Agan of­fi­ci­at­ing.

In­ter­ment fol­lowed in the Bel­lview Ceme­tery With Rev. An­thony Bald­win.

The fam­ily re­ceived friends Wed­nes­day, Oct. 25, 2017 prior to the fu­neral hour at the Lester Lite­sey Fu­neral home.

Pall­bear­ers were Corey Waites, Jor­dan Waites, Cole Waites, Chan­dler Waites, T. J. Pace, Zach Flow­ers and Johnny Wor­thy.
