The holidays have come to Rockmart and several businesses are getting in on everything Christmas has to offer. Now and Then antiques, Precious Paws, and Smith and Lockwood were just a few businesses sporting decorations and discounts in the name of the holidays.

Now and Then, one of the city’s newest vintage antique providers, is offering a discount of 10 to 15 percent on certain holiday goods, and any patron who makes a purchase at the store will be entered into a drawing to win a vintage Indian dough bowl.

“Tis the season,” Co-owner Tina Lanier said. “We’ve got lots of decorations, and we’re selling these decorated trees and the individual ornaments off of them too.”

Precious Paws is looking to give the county’s pets a chance to get in the holiday season with Christmas-themed photos on Dec. 9. Pictures will have a $10 sitting fee but can include as many animals as customers would like.

“We’ll have a professional photographer. It doesn’t matter how many people or animals are in the pictures. The photographer does Christmas scenes as well as regular scenes,” owner Kellie Taylor.

Smith and Lockwood focused more on the holiday aesthetic than offering dis- counts or holiday events. Lights and trees coated the pharmacy from top to bottom.

Many more businesses of all kinds are gearing up for the holidays. Those interested in potential discounts, holiday happenings, and festive decorations should visit downtown Rockmart.
