R.J. Wood & Co. helps Toys For Tots

- From press release

Santa has been checking for who’s been naughty or nice, and it turns out that the consulting engineer for the Water Authority, Ronnie Wood of R.J. Wood & Co., has an early spot on Santa’s list. Wood and his company have been recognized by the Toys For Tots campaign for their generous giving to this important and worthy cause. Every year, Wood has been providing a contribution to the United States Marine Corps Reserve Toys For Tots program based in Rome, Georgia.

This program oversees the contributions of financial gifts and Christmas toys for the children of Polk County, and Wood has been a key contributor for years. Once again, the Polk County Water Authority has volunteered to serve as a collection point for the 2017 Toys For Tots campaign.

“The Authority will receive your toys (new and unwrapped, please) for both boys and girls in Polk County.

Your gifts will be turned over to the US Marine Corps Reserve Toys For Tots leadership, to be used for children in need of some special Christmas cheer.”, said Jack Damron, General Manager. Wood is a native of Polk County, served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam, and understands the meaning of giving back to his community.

“Toys For Tots is a wonderful program which provides a needed and important service to our Community,” Mr. Wood said. “We are glad to support Toys For Tots in any way we can.”
