Teams grapple at Jacket Invitational

Several teams gathered at the Rock last week to grapple in an annual tournament where the host took second place overall.

Rockmart placed behind Hillgrove at the top of the 2017 Jacket Invitational Tournament during the Dec. 28 event at the high school, with Armuchee finishing up in third place.

The Jackets’ Nicholas Swan took first in the 106-pound weight class, and several other Jackets took second place in their weight class during the event. Cedartown’s Kevin Vincent and Cameron Zell also placed in their weight class as well.

The Bulldogs took 9th overall in the tournament.
