The Good Neighbor Center Food Bank in Cedartown is looking for volunteers to help once a week on Monday’s from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. or Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Volunteers must be at least 18 years old and will help with event tasks such as registerin­g recipients, preparing food boxes and stocking shelves. The next spaghetti dinner at American Legion Post 12 will be on Wednesday, Feb. 21from 5 to 7 p.m.. Spaghetti, meatballs, garlic toast and salad, $5, all-you-can-eat. Come in and let us cook for you. Trivia begins at 6 p.m.

Get tickets now for the upcoming Optimist Club Ham and Egg Day set for Saturday, Feb. 10 from 6 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Goodyear Civic Center on Prior Street in Cedartown. The Polk County GOP is holding an inaugural Youth Scholarshi­p Fundraisin­g featuring the comedic styling of “Janet Collins and Friends Comedy Show,” at Stone Creek Inn on Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018. Proceeds are earmarked for annual grants to a graduating senior from Cedartown and Rockmart High Schools. Dinner and entertainm­ent is the fare. Tables seating 10 can be purchased for $200, individual tickets are $25, and couple’s are $45. One bag of non-perishable food, five items to pick from produce, eggs and milk and two items from frozen meats, breads and others will be available. ID is required. Limit of two IDs per address. Regular hours are Mondays, 1 to 3 p.m.; Tuesdays, 5 to 7 p.m.; and Thursdays, 8 to 10 a.m.
