The next meeting for the Cedartown City Commission will be coming up on Monday, March 12, 2018 at 6 p.m. in the Commission Meeting Room at City Hall on East Avenue. The Polk County Board of Education will be back in session on Tuesday, March 6 for their community input and work session, with the regular session to follow on March 12. The Developmen­t Authority of Polk County canceled their February meeting last week due to scheduling conflicts with the members. They’ll return to business at the Rockmart History Museum in the conference room shared with the Polk County Chamber of Commerce at 8 a.m. on Friday, March 9.

Details in a Aug. 27, 2014 story were reported wrong at the time, and have now been corrected. The familial relationsh­ip between the two was incorrectl­y reported between Elree and Joshua Cox in a story that week. The two are grandfathe­r and grandson, respective­ly.
