Rockmart’s soccer programs are coming off a busy week at home and on the road, and have another ahead of them after the girls picked up another pair victories to keep up their winning streak.

The Lady Jackets went 2-0 to improve to 5-0 overall (based on information available at press time) while the Jackets moved to 2- 4 as soccer season moves past the midway point and both teams move deeper into the region schedule.

Early on last week, the Lady Jackets continued in showing off their talents on the pitch in a promising successful season finishing off Armuchee 5-3.

Izzy Maxwell is on her second year playing for the Lady Jackets and her comments on her teammates performance were all positive.

“Our team has been successful because every year we have been able to put aside all of our differences and play the game we love so much,” said Maxwell. “We have been able to learn from our previous mistakes as well as new ones, but it has led us to have the bond that we have now. our team is a family.”

Ashlyn Jay scored 4 against Amurchee and Madison Bozydaj scored one in the net.
