Blalock named ASUN Player of the Week in February
Good news for one local track and field star who is now competing as a freshman on the college level.
Kennesaw State University freshman and former Cedartown Bulldog Tyler Blalock (listed as John Blalock for college athletes) was named the ASUN Athlete of the Week for indoor track events in mid-February.
The honor came after Blalock placed third at the Dunamis Super Meet in shot put, also picking up a career- best heave of 15.59 meters, or more than 51 feet.
It is Blalock’s first season with the Hawks Track and field program.
