One correction from last week’s edition we must apologize for. In a story on Page A5 on promotions of Cedartown employees, we accidental­ly attributed quotes wrong, and thus presented some incorrect informatio­n. To make the record clear, Aimee Madden is a graduate of Shorter University, and Edward Guzman a graduate of the University of Georgia. Both are still happy with their new jobs, and love Cedartown. - KM

The Polk County Commission will gather again for their upcoming monthly sessions on July 1 for their work session at 5:15 p.m., and again on July 2 for their regular session at 7 p.m. The commission meets on the first Monday and Tuesday of each month. The Developmen­t Authority of Polk County will meet on July 13 at 8 a.m. at the DAPC offices within the Rockmart History Museum. Contact the DAPC to learn more about their board meetings and upcoming agendas by calling 678971-3095.

The next meeting for the Cedartown City Commission will be coming up on Monday, July 9, 2018 at 6 p.m. in the Commission Meeting Room at City Hall on East Avenue.
