The Atlanta Braves finally got to see Josh Donaldson take the field during a spring training exhibition this past week. Donaldson is ready for a debut after spending time with the Blue Jays and Indians in 2018. See Page B4 for more on the Braves’ spring training efforts.

The Hawks just can’t catch a break. The 22-44 birds were playing Brooklyn on Saturday over the weekend at press time, and had already had a bad week earlier against the Spurs. Next up: Grizzlies tonight, Celtics on Saturday and Magic on Sunday.

Already, Atlanta United is off to a pretty decent start to 2019. Their CONCACAF Champions League record is at 1-2, and they’ve fallen in their past two to D.C. United and Monterrey after a win over Herediano in late February. They had FC Cincinnati on Sunday after press time, and more to come this week.

It doesn’t seem like it, but golfers like Rory McIlroy (above) will be heading to Georgia in just a few weeks for the annual tournament known and loved worldwide as “The Masters.” Tee-offs in the annual Augusta event are coming up on April 11.
