The Standard Journal

Outlook 2020 now available in this edition

-

What will the future look like for the coming months and through the end of the year in Polk County?

The closest thing we have to a crystal ball for such a question is the people out in the community planning for the rest of the year with a variety of projects and events that will impact the people of Polk County.

Everything from a new 911 radio system to looking at the homeless issue in the City of Rockmart, this year’s Outlook 2020 section seeks to give people an idea of what to expect from local leaders within the cities and county, from the Polk School District and more.

We are additionally including a couple of extra stories in this week’s edition in the A section to go along with the launch of Outlook 2020 that with the amount of information we had to share this year didn’t quite fit into our

print version. Make sure to check out and share the full range of stories on our website as well at polkstandardjournal.com and on our Facebook page.

Make sure to tell us if you think we’ve missed a future topic you’d like to see us cover in coming editions of the Standard Journal by sending an email to kmyrick@polkstandardjournal.net as well.

Finally, we thank those who helped make the section possible including Floyd Polk Medical Center, Redmond Regional Medical Center, the City of Cedartown and Polk County, Croker’s Hardware, The HON Company, Haynes Heating and Air, Cedar Valley Container and local real estate agent Brenda Leslie.
