PETS of the WEEK
The Cedartown Polk County Humane Society is working to ensure that all pets in its care have every opportunity of finding forever homes. Its facility is located at 3416 Rockmart Highway, Cedartown.
Anyone interested in a Pet of the Week or any of the animals being sheltered by the organization can visit the shelter Saturday from 2-5 p.m. or otherwise by appointment. Call or text 706-252-4412 for an appointment or more information.

Jocko is a handsome young Chihuahua mix fella at 18 months old and just over 15 pounds. He is house-trained and crate-trained, gets along well with other dogs, kids and adults. He likes cats fine, will not hurt them but will chase them. He is a good-natured fellow with lots of energy. His ideal home with have another pup and children for him to play with.
As with all our dogs, Jocko has been tested for heartworms, vaccinated appropriate for age, neutered, and microchipped. Microchip registration is included in the adoption fee. All our pets are given flea and heartworm preventatives monthly.
Prissy is a very sweet girl who finds herself without a home Her owners have passed away and left her alone. She is a very playful girl that wants a lap to sit in. Do you have room for this sweet girl in your home? She is 8 years old and weighs nine pounds.
As with all of our cats and kittens, Prissy has been tested for FIV and Feline leukemia, vaccinated appropriate for age, spayed, and microchipped. Microchip registration is included in the adoption fee. All our pets are given flea and heartworm preventatives monthly.
The Cedartown Polk County Humane Society operates a pet food pantry at its Rockmart Highway location. The pantry provides food on the first and third Friday of each month.
