PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE EXETER CODE OF ORDINANCES APPENDIX B LAND DEVELOPMENT AND SUBDIVISION REGULATIONS

NOTICE is hereby given that the Planning Board of the Town of Exeter, Rhode Island pursuant to the provisions of Title 45, Chapter 23 of the General Laws of the State of Rhode Island, as amended, will consider for adoption;
AMENDMENTS TO THE TO EXETER CODE OF ORDINANCES APPENDIX B LAND DEVELOPMENT AND SUBDIVISION REGULATIONS TO ACCOMPLISH CONFORMITY WITH RECENT HOUSING, LAND DEVELOPMENT AND SUBDIVISION LAWS PASSED BY THE LEGISLATURE THAT TAKE EFFECT JANUARY 1, 2024.
NATURE OF PROPOSED AMENDMENT:
For purposes of considering numerous changes to the EXETER LAND DEVELOPMENT AND SUBDIVISION REGULATIONS to correct errors/omissions and comply with newly enacted state statutes.

Said amendments are available for public inspection on the Town of Exeter website at https://www.exeterri.gov/ and in the office of the Town Planner during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., or by emailing planner@exeterri.gov
DATE, TIME & PLACE OF THE HEARING:
Notice is further given that the said Regulations will be considered at a Public Hearing of said Planning Board, on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at 6:30 P.M. in the Town Council Chambers located at 675 Ten Rod Road, Exeter, Rhode Island.
The proposed amendments may be altered or amended prior to the close of the Public Hearing without further advertising, as a result of further study, or because of the views expressed at the Public Hearing. Any such alteration or amendment must be presented for comment in the course of said Public Hearing.
Forty-eight hours’ notice is required for persons with sensory impairments requiring auxiliary aids by calling 294-3891, Ext. 9. The Exeter Clerk’s Office is handicapped accessible.
