LOWELL - MARIA Odette (DA Cunha Frietas) Silva, 87, of Lowell, passed Away peacefully on Thursday July 9, 2020 At D’youville Senior Care. She was the widow of the late Carlos Periera who passed Away in 1973 And the late Manuel dasilva who passed Away in 2002.

A daughter of the late Joao Freitas And the late Alzira (Cunha), she was Born on

August 23, 1932 in Graciosa, Azores Portugal. She was raised And educated in Graciosa And lived most of her life there Before Coming to the United States in 1980, settling in Lowell. She was A longtime resident of Central Street And was A member of the Holy Ghost Society As well As Communican­t of St. Anthony’ s Church. She enjoyed Cooking, playing Cards, And spending time with her family. As A devoted Mother, MARIA lovingly raised her family And helped her Children raise their own. Her family was her world, By whom she will Be greatly missed. Her Children, grandchild­ren, great grandchild­ren, And great great grandchild­ren will Be her legacy.

She is survived By her Children; Luciano

Periera And his wife, Lucilene, of Arkansas, Fibi Silva And her husband, Aldvino, of Terceira, Azores, Portugal, And MARIA Teresa Puga And her husband, John, of Shirley. She is Also survived By her 8 grandchild­ren, her 11 great grandchild­ren, And her 3 great great grandchild­ren.

She was Also the sister of the late Jose Freitas, Alfredo Freitas, And Conceicao Bettencour­t.
