Once Sen. Markey disarms police, he’s coming for you

- Deter Luhao COLUMNIST

If U.S. Sen. Eddie Markey were a true progressive, he would not only disarm the cops, but would arm the rioters in order to level the playing field.

It is demeaning to watch U.S. rioters reduced to throwing rocks at cops, as though they were angry Palestinians in

Gaza heaving rocks at Israelis. We can do better than that.

And you should not have American rioters and looters relying on imperfect homemade Molotov cocktails when firebombing cops and burning down cities. That is not who we are.

Improperly constructed Mollys sometime blow up in your face, like one did to the “peaceful protester” in Portland the other day, engulfing the young chap in flames, and causing him to roll like a flaming log in a California wildfire.

It was a bad look for the Antifa warrior. Antifa, the militant wing of the Democrat Party, must up its game if it is going to burn down the rest of America.

Markey can help.

How much better off the rioter would have been had he been supplied with a couple of U.S. Army surplus hand grenades, concussion bombs, or even an M67 fragmentation grenade or two.

The ordnance could come from the surplus supplies of U.S. military equipment that Markey, Bernie Sanders and AOC want to stop President Trump from giving to police .agencies.

It is interesting to note, though, how fitting it is for leftist anarchists to use Molotov cocktails, which usually are nothing more than bottles containing a flammable substance, like gasoline. You light the soaked wick and throw it.

The device is named after Russian Foreign Minister Vyacheslave Molotov, a leading Communist in Joe Stalin’s World War II Soviet Union.

Under attack by Soviet armies in 1939, the fighters in overmatched Finland devised the fire-bombs to use against Soviet tanks.

In ridicule, they named their device after Molotov. But the Finns lost the war.

Molotov is also noted for signing the Ribbentrop/ Molotov non-aggression Pact with Nazi Germany that allowed mass murderers Stalin and Adolph Hitler to divide up Poland, which led to World War

II.

While it is only a spoof to suggest that Markey would arm the rioters, it is valid to point out that he and his fellow travelers are indeed bent on rendering the cops defenseless when it comes to enforcing the law against rioters.

Even after two Los Angeles County Sheriff Department officers were shot in the head in an ambush while sitting in their patrol car, Markey tweeted out an attack on cops. And then two more cops were shot in Louisville last week.

As for Portland, Markey acted as though the cops were throwing Molotov cocktails at the rioters, and not the other way around.

Markey said, “Portland police routinely attack peaceful protesters with brute force. We must disarm these officers and every other police department in America of weapons of war, and enact a nationwide ban on tear gas, rubber and plastic bullets, and bean bag rounds.”

But Markey was not through. He also called for the abolition of ICE. “ICE has become a ruthless deportation force that terrorizes our immigrant communities. We cannot allow this to continue. It’s time to standup to protect the rights and dignity of our immigrant neighbors and abolish ICE.”

Markey could begin his anticop offensive by disarming the cops in bucolic Chevy Chase, Md,, where he lives in a million-dollar house, and in Malden, where he pretends to live.

For instance, he could go the Malden Police Headquarters and urge Police Chief Kevin Polis to order the 103 cops under his command to turn in their Glocks. After all, there has not been a Malden cop shot dead in Malden in years. And Markey does not live there anyway so the cops would not even have to patrol his street.

After Polis throws him out of his office he could go to his real home in Chevy Chase where Police Chief John Fitzgerald would be more receptive. That’s because there are fewer than 3,000 residents in the village, 92% of whom are wealthy and white. And there is little crime.

So, Markey should at least be able to get Chief Fitzgerald to get the 11 cops under his command to turn in their “weapons of war.”

It is all a joke, of course. But what is not funny is this: after Markey disarms the cops, he will disarm you.
