Correia, Tyngsboro get by Groton-dunstable

Natalia Correia had 2 and an assist to power the Tyngsboro field hockey team to 3-1 win over Groton-dunstable on Monday.

Mia Hannes scored for the Tigers as well.

For G-D, Jenna Koch had the lone goal, while goalie Ashleigh Siciliano had 13 saves.

Junior Brittney Iverson scored 2 breakaway unassisted goals in the 4th quarter to clinch the win for Littleton.

Senior Courtney Bottenhorn notched her first win of the season in net, with 15 saves.

Junior midfielder Hannah Cochran and freshman Belle Field also scored for Littleton.

Golf

In a match played at Chelmsford Country Club, Lowell was led by Steven Betty’s 39. Keegan Cote carded a 40, while Thomas Woodlock had a 41.

Ethan Loomis shot a 35 for G- D ( 3- 0) in the win.

Tom Joyner carded a 37, Nick Towle had a 38 and Jake Brown had a 39.

Littleton ( 0- 3) was led by Aaron King and Luke Laftery, who each shot a 38.

Shawsheen’s Matthew Tramonte had the low round with a 42 at Patriot Golf Course.

Steven O’connor fired a 44, while Nolan Rexford and Connor Preble each had a 45.

In a match played over the weekend at Four Oaks in Dracut, Tyngsboro sophomore Trevor Drew led the way with an even- par 36 to score a matchhigh 36 points.

Freshman Connor St. Gelais chipped in with 31 points and Kevin Carpenter added 26 for the Tigers ( 2- 0).

Jake Mcdonough and Brendan Sullivan led Lowell Catholic (1-1)

The unbeaten Gryphons (3- 0) got 2 goals and an assist from Aliza Som, and 2 goals from Becca Cawthron.

Victoria Garcia had a goal and an assist for GLT.

Girls volleyball

In a tight match, NN got the victory.

Julia Foster had 5 aces, 32 assists and 14 digs for BG. Maddy Keating added 2 aces, 11 digs and 12 kills. Emma Charron chipped in 13 digs.
