Open house sessions coming

Lowell Catholic will host small, in-person, open-house sessions for eighth-graders who are interested in attending the high school next year.

The sessions require registration in advance and will be held, Sunday, Oct. 18, at 11 a.m., and 2 p.m., and Thursday, Oct. 22, at 6 p.m.

Due to COVID-19 precautions, each student will only be allowed one parent or guardian, and all will be required to wear a mask. Spaces are limited; register online at w w w. l o w e l l c a t h o l i c . o r g / Discoverlc25.

Lowell Catholic is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges and is a Xaverian Brothers Sponsored School. This year, the campus is open, and students also have the option of remote learning as needed.

LC students are not only engaged in a robust and rigorous STREAM-BASED academic curriculum, they are also learning and growing valuable skills, such as compassion, community outreach and a sense of responsibility to give back to their local and global community.

Multidisciplinary and collaborative project-based learning allows students to learn how to work as a team and build connections in a dynamic environment. Putting an emphasis on discovery and exploration, rather than memorization of facts, is prevalent throughout Lowell Catholic’s pre-kindergarten through 12th-grade curriculum. The STREAM curriculum focuses on developing the whole student by giving him or her the tools to think independently, leading to success in college and beyond.
