Back to School Night a virtual hit

Superinten­dent Jill Davis said Greater Lowell Technical High School’s recent virtual Back to School Night was well-received by staff, students and their families.

The event was held Oct. 1, and gave parents and guardians an opportunit­y to meet their child’s teachers and learn important informatio­n, such as teacher contact informatio­n, classroom and remote learning expectatio­ns, curriculum and assessment, technology requiremen­ts, and extra help and support resources.

“Each fall, we look forward to connecting with students’ families in order to provide insight into what their children will accomplish this school year,” Davis said. “Though this year’s event looked a little different, we were excited to meet with parents to discuss and answer any questions they may have had about our hybrid learning model.”

Those who participat­ed also had an opportunit­y to ask questions of teachers, meet school counselors and learn about school activities.
