This trio will have you dancing at home
Despite the ongoing pandemic, arts organizations like the Chelmsford Center for the Arts are keeping folks entertained with live-streamed and recorded performances.
On Saturday, Jan. 9, the CCA presents the Carlos Odria Trio in a livestream show at 3 p.m.
And it sounds like the perfect antidote to your post-holiday, down-inthe-dumps, January blahs.
The trio is a high-energy acoustic ensemble that performs original compositions and arrangements of jazz standards and Latin American popular music. They deliver an exciting blend of international styles, including bossa nova, Afro-peruvian festejo, rumba flamenca and cumbia with an improvisational approach inspired by the rich traditions of American jazz.
You might want to get ready to dance with this lineup.
It’s free, but donations and tips for the band are encouraged. Here’s the link for the concert: https://chelmsfordarts.store/product/carlosodria-trio-cca-stream-series.
