Local nonprofits collaborate to offer monthly virtual ‘Memory Café’
lowell » Starting this month, D’youville Life & Wellness Community, the Lowell Senior Center and Fallon Health are collaborating to offer a free, monthly “Memory Café” for individuals living at home with dementia and their caregivers.
The virtual cafes offer a place where people with memory loss and those who care for them can be themselves, share stories and find helpful advice in a safe, supportive and fun environment.
The sessions will be held on the third Thursday of each month from 10 to 11 a.m. on Zoom. Registration is required and must be completed no later than the Monday before the cafe to reserve a space and receive the Zoom link to access the session.

Documentary screening, discussion to be held on Black history in N.H.
durham, n.h. » The New Hampshire Food Alliance and the University of New Hampshire Susthe tainability Institute will hold a virtual screening of “Shadows Fall North,” a documentary on Black history in New Hampshire, later this month.
The documentary screening will be held Jan. 27 at 6 p.m., followed by a discussion of Black history and racial equity in the New Hampshire food system.
“Shadows Fall North” was produced by the UNH Center for the Humanities, the Black Heritage Trail of New Hampshire and Atlantic Media Productions.
The event is presented in partnership with Warner Public Market, the Greater Nashua Food Council, the Littleton Food Co-op, UNH Cooperative Extension, the Monadnock Food Co-op, the Northeast Organic Farming Association of New Hampshire and the Kearsarge Food Hub.
