: BRUSH STROKES: Lowell’s Brush Art Gallery and Studios on Market Street pays tribute to the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day and Black History Month with the exhibit “Black Light – Visual Articulati­ons.” On view through Feb. 28, the exhibit is sponsored by the Lura Smith Fund — Middlesex Community College Foundation: Living the Dream with You. It focuses on cultural imagery, struggle, the human figure and abstract art using charcoal, pastel graphite, photograph­y and paint. Artists sharing their work in the show include Thaddeus Miles, Wilda Gerideau Squires, Derrick Jamison, Gwendolyn Lanier and Calvin Thomas. A virtual reception will be announced. March 1 is the deadline for K-12 teachers to apply for the summer profession­al-developmen­t workshop being offered virtually by the Tsongas Industrial History Center.
