: BRUSH STROKES: Lowell’s Brush Art Gallery and Studios on Market Street pays tribute to the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day and Black History Month with the exhibit “Black Light – Visual Articulations.” On view through Feb. 28, the exhibit is sponsored by the Lura Smith Fund — Middlesex Community College Foundation: Living the Dream with You. It focuses on cultural imagery, struggle, the human figure and abstract art using charcoal, pastel graphite, photography and paint. Artists sharing their work in the show include Thaddeus Miles, Wilda Gerideau Squires, Derrick Jamison, Gwendolyn Lanier and Calvin Thomas. A virtual reception will be announced. March 1 is the deadline for K-12 teachers to apply for the summer professional-development workshop being offered virtually by the Tsongas Industrial History Center.
