Playful pit bulls need a new home

- By Sally cragin Correspondent

We’ve all suffered in this past year, but at least Romeo and Bella, a pair of bonded pit-bull mixes, are back together again. Now all they need is a fur-ever home.

Currently at Lowell Humane Society, these two had previously known only one other home. They snuggle together, provide comfort to one another, eat together, sleep together and have lived with children. They would do best in a home without other dogs and where they could enjoy walks.

Romeo is black and 7 years old. Bella is gold/red and 11. They are both about 50 pounds. They are really happy pups and will be loyal and loving to their new family.

Charles is a prince among cats

Say Aloha to Charles, Chaz, Chuck, Charlie — whatever you call him, he’s a loving boy cat at Ahimsa Haven who just wants to be with his purr-son.

Charles is a “Turkish Van” mix, a cat that dates back to ancient times. He has the characteristic white coat and darker head and back markings.

A playful fellow, he loves a good game of fetch and enjoys the company of children. He would do well in a home without a dog, and you can count on Charles to crawl onto the covers when it’s bedtime.

Charles is 9 years old and in great health He is part of the Take A Chance On Me program and would go to the right home for free. You must have a reliable and consistent vet reference. Visit Ahimsahaven.org to fill out an application.
