February honorees named
tyngsboro » Greater Lowell Technical High School has selected four February Students of the Month based on the characteristics of respect, effort, accountability, commitment and honesty.
: Erica Barnes of Dracut is the Senior of the Month. She is in the Design and Visual Communications program and maintains honor-roll grades while pursuing a challenging schedule that includes Advanced Placement Biology and Studio Art Portfolio. She is a member of the Drama Club and Skillsusa, serving as chapter ambassador and earning awards for leadership, chapter engagement and outstanding participation. She represented Greater Lowell in Advertising Design at the Skillsusa District Competition.
Erica is a student ambassador for GLTHS open houses and in the Summer Service Learning program. She plans to attend a fouryear art college to major in Illustration, then work in comic or manga illustration, storyboarding and cover art. She was nominated for her efforts during remote learning to take a leadership role within the school community and support other students in their efforts to succeed.
: Bianca Konchinski of Lowell is the Junior of the Month. She is in the Medical Assisting program and has achieved high-honor grades, including perfect scores in her Medical Lab and Assisting courses.
She is ranked fourth in the junior class with a grade-point average of 4.33 and has been inducted into the National Honor
Society and National Technical Honor
Society. She has achieved perfect attendance since freshman year, received an Outstand- ing Achievement award in ELE and was recognized in the Caught Doing
Good program.
Bianca competed in Medical Assisting at the Skillsusa District Compe- tition. She plans to Pyriadi continue her education in the medical field with a goal of specializing in neurology. She was nominated for being a role model to classmates and for putting extraordinary effort into everything she does.
: Shereen Pyriadi of Lowell is the Sophomore of the Month. She is in the Graphic Communications program and maintains a cumulative grade-point average of 3.92. She is a high-honors student and has been recognized for Summer Math Achievement and with the President’s Education Award.
Shereen is a peer mentor and volunteers for Aaron’s Presents, a nonprofit that teaches children to use their creativity for the good of
Barnes others in the community, through which she has helped House of Hope and the MSPCA at Nevins Farm. She plans to attend college to study Marketing. She was nominated for being an outstanding student who works hard to achieve her goals and consistently demonstrates respect and motivation in and out of the classroom.
: Monique Hogan of Tyngsboro is the Freshman of the Month. She entered Hogan Greater Lowell Tech from Tyngsboro Middle School. She is previewing technical areas and has completed coursework in Carpentry, Design and Visual Communications, Electrical and Early Childhood Education. She is a member of the Freshman Planning Committee.
Monique is a high-honors student with a grade-point average of 4.06. She recently placed third in the Skillsusa Community Outreach Challenge video competition.
She was nominated for consistently displaying the school’s core values of accountability, commitment and honesty through her positive contributions to her classes and the community as a whole.
