is a freshman mentor and a member of the Marching Band. She was captain of the crosscount­ry team this year and competes for the spring track team. She is a Girl Scout, is active in FIRST Lego Robotics and at her church, and is a National Parks Junior Ranger. She plans to major in Food Science in college and is taking a Harvard Extension Science and Cooking course to help prepare.

: Cole Schaefer, son of Jeff and Jackie Schaefer, is enrolled in Advanced Placement classes in Chemistry, Physics and Calculus. He has been inducted into the National Honor Society,

English Honor Society and Science Honor Society, and is a four-year high-honors student. He is a class representa­tive, and a member of Leadership in Motion Everywhere, the Marching Band and the volleyball team.

Cole was a major contributo­r to the Thanksgivi­ng Send-off in 2020, his skill as a videograph­er evident in the production. He volunteers for the Special Olympics, Byam Walkathon and Bridge Camp. He plans to attend college with hopes of studying Chemistry, Chemical Engineerin­g or Mechanical Engineerin­g.

: Emma Keohane, daughter of William and Elizabeth Keohane is enrolled in Advanced Placement

Calculus, Literature & Compositio­n and Psychology. She is a four-year high-honors student and has been inducted into the National Honor Society, English Honor Society and Spanish Honor Society. She is a member of the Yearbook Club and editorin-chief of The Lion.

Emma is a freshman mentor and a class representa­tive. She is active at her church and in Peer Ministry. She volunteers for Surfing with Smiles, which provides a modified surfing experience for children with special needs. She plans to attend college with a concentrat­ion in Biology and a minor in either Neuroscien­ce or Psychology, then to become a doctor focused on patient care while researchin­g in the fields of oncology or genetics.

: George Haywood, son of Peter and Elizabeth Haywood, is taking Advanced Placement Psychology and Environmen­tal Science, and is a fixture on the honor-roll. He has been inducted into the National Honor Society and earned the Emerging Leader Award and PRIDE Award.

George is a freshman mentor and serves on the Executive Board. He is a class representa­tive and a member of the Dean’s Council, Fishing Club and the CHS fan section called “The Tundra.” He competes for the golf, hockey and lacrosse teams. He was recognized as a Scholar Athlete for golf. He is also active at his church. He plans to attend college to major in Finance.
