Inside & Out’ gallery opens Dec. 5

westford » “Inside & Out,” an exhibit of paintings by Jill Crossman Anderson, will be on display at the Parish Center for the Arts from Dec. 5 to Dec. 30.

An opening wine and cheese reception for the exhibit will be held on Dec. 5 from noon to 2:30 p.m. The Parish Center for the Arts is located at 10 Lincoln St., Westford.

Included in the exhibit are larger acrylic stained canvas landscapes and smaller landscapes and still lifes painted in acrylics and watercolor. Many of the landscapes were painted during the

COVID-19 shutdowns and are a result of finding landscapes closer to home.

Anderson is a signature member of the New England Watercolor Society and studied with Rob Moore at Mass College of Art and Design and The Graphic Workshop. She holds two bachelor’s degrees and a certificat­e in graphic design. Anderson’s experience as an artist is in drawing, painting, silkscreen design and prints.

Anderson has also won awards from the Boston Art Directors Club and has had works reprinted in “Print” magazine.

The Parish Center for the Arts gallery is open every Sunday from noon to 2

roton walk of lights, community tree lighting planned for Dec. 4

groton » At 4:15 p.m. on Dec. 4, the Groton Interfaith Council will host its annual walk of lights and community tree lighting.

The event is designed to celebrate the beauty of diverse faith traditions. The celebratio­n will begin on the sidewalk in front of the Prescott Community Center at 145 Main St. and volunteers will offer battery-operated candles for the walk of
