Grammy, Tony winner to perform in Groton in June
Multi-faceted Leslie Odom Jr. to take the stage June 11
GROTON >> Perhaps best known for his role as Aaron Burr in the original Broadway cast of “Hamilton” Leslie Odom Jr. is a multifaceted artist whose resume boasts Tony and Grammy wins, three Emmy and two Academy Award nominations.
Now, the vocalist, songwriter, author and actor is coming to the Groton Hill Music Center on Sunday, June 11, for a performance at 7 p.m. Tickets range in price from $84.47 to $115.13, with parking included onsite for free.
In addition to his acclaimed role in “Hamilton,”
Odom can currently be seen in Rian Johnson’s critically acclaimed “Knives Out” sequel, “Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery” which is currently streaming on Netflix. According to a press release, Odom is also in production on a sequel to “The Exorcist” which is scheduled for release in October 2023.
In 2020, Odom starred as legendary singer Sam Cooke in the award-winning adaption of “One Night in Miami…” directed by Regina King and released on Amazon. In the film, he performed the original song “Speak Now” which was nominated for and won multiple awards. In 2021, Odom starred in “The Sopranos” prequel film, “The Many Saints of Newark” as antagonist Harold Mcbrayer.
On March 28, Odom will release his first children’s book “I Love You More Than You’ll Ever Know” co-authored by Nicolette Robinson and published by Feiwel & Friends.
In addition to many credits on stage and screen, Odom is a recording artist and has released four full-length albums.
