Michael Joseph Perruccio

Beloved by all.

-

PELHAM, NH - Michael Joseph Perruccio, 30, of Pelham, NH, passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2023, after a motorcycle accident in Phuket, Thailand. Michael was living his dream, pursuing his passion for mixed martial arts by training Muay Thai, immersed in Thai culture, while working remotely, with his love, Arianna.

Growing up in the woods of Pelham, Michael had ample opportunity to put his inventions to the test, from limo-wagons and forts of all kinds to epic paint-ball wars, which he could never lose. In addition, he made many memories at the family vacation home in Maine, boating, skiing, and laughing by campfires. We will never forget his laugh, the deepest and most joyful of which we all know came from the success of one of his spontaneous, or expertly crafted pranks on the ones he loved.

As a high honors graduate of Pelham High School, in 2010, and multi-sport athlete, Michael (aka Pooch) was a three-time state champion in wrestling, and recipient of the Python award.

Following high school, he went on to earn both a Bachelor of Science and Master’s Degree at Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Management Information Systems and Business Management. He was a member of the Zeta Psi fraternity and three-year captain of the wrestling team, where he was a three-time all-regional placer, and a 2013 Ray Cherenzia ‘73 award winner. Michael continued his involvement as an assistant coach, then as the head coach of the WPI wrestling club team.

He worked for State Street/charles River Development as a Senior Financial Information Exchange Analyst, where like in all areas of his life, he enjoyed the challenge of creating innovative programs.

Michael was an enthusiastic and adventurous traveler. He had the world in a headlock and with Arianna as his co-pilot, they took every opportunity to explore new places, traveling to twenty-six different countries together. Most recently, they resided in East Boston, MA.

A gift to all that knew him, Michael’s lust for life, absolute loyalty, positivity, relentless strength and dedication to family and friends made him beloved. He made an immediate impact on everyone he met, including animals. Michael served as a true inspiration and mentor to those around him. Throughout his life, he motivated countless people by modeling discipline, hard work, and integrity. In all things, Michael was a fierce competitor, even with himself, setting goals, achieving them, then taking it to the next level. He never gave up.

He is survived by the love of his life, Arianna Smith of Tewksbury, MA, his parents Salvatore and Glynnis (Sullivan) Perruccio of Pelham, NH, siblings Steve Perruccio of Derry, NH and Deandra Perruccio of Concord, NH, his dogs, Blaze and Georgia, his maternal grandparents Don and Christine Sullivan of Chelmsford, MA, and many extended family members, including the Smith family.

He is predeceased by his paternal grandparents Frank and Diana Perruccio.

Michael’s loveable spirit brought a smile to the hearts of his family and friends and made him a cherished favorite of every generation.
