Mary J. Montbleau, R.N.
Beloved mother, in-law, grandmother, and great-grandmother;
PELHAM - Mary J. (Alexander) Montbleau, R.N., 94, of Whitefield, New Hampshire, but formerly of Pelham, NH, passed away on Friday November 17, 2023, at the Morrison Nursing Home in Whitefield, NH.
She was the loving wife of the late Joseph L.“lenny” Montbleau.
Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, December 16, 1928, the daughter of the late John C. and the late Isabel T. (Burke) Alexander, she attended Chelmsford Schools and graduated from Chelmsford High School in the class of 1948. Later, she attended Lowell General School of Nursing.
Prior to her retirement, Mary was a Registered Nurse with Edith Nourse Rogers Veterans
Hospital in Bedford, MA, where she dedicated over 15 years. Previously, she worked as a private duty nurse for the Peter Bent Brigham Hospital (Brigham and Women’s Hospital) and the Beth Israel Hospital in Boston, MA.
Among her many interests, Mary was an avid quilter with many friends at Bits and Pieces in Pelham, NH, and enjoyed gardening and loved her cat.
However, her greatest joy was all about spending precious time with her family.
She is survived by a daughter: Elizabeth J. Parkhurst and her husband Roy of Jefferson, NH; son-in-law Leon Doucette of South Weymouth, MA; three grandchildren Philp J. Doucette of Hanover, MA, Robert J. Parkhurst and his wife Jennifer of Sandown, NH, John T. Parkhurst of Hudson, NH; four great-grandchildren Kyle, Emily, Lauren, and Julia.
She was also the mother of the late Mary Ann Doucette.
