Jeanne D’arc Credit Union staff promotions

LOWELL >> President and CEO Mark Cochran announced staff promotions at Jeanne D’arc Credit Union.

Karen Manuelian joins the credit union as an assistant vice president of marketing. She has 15 years of marketing experience as an assistant vice president of marketing at Align Credit Union. Manuelian brings a diverse skill set to her new role that includes strategic marketing, website management, creative design, copywritin­g, social media marketing, search engine optimizati­on/marketing, display media and email marketing.

Ryan Gagne was recently promoted from assistant branch manager to branch officer in the Chelmsford office. Gagne joined the credit union in 2000, and has held several positions during her tenure.

Alexis Owen has been promoted to branch officer of the Dracut office on Lakeview Avenue in Lowell. Owen has been with the credit union since 2013 where she began as a high school intern at the Methuen branch.

Jeanne D’arc Credit Union was establishe­d in 1912, and is a full-service, community-based financial cooperativ­e. Locally owned by 100,000 members with $2.1 billion in assets, it operates eight full-service branches in Lowell, Dracut, Tyngsboro, Chelmsford, Methuen, Westford and Nashua, N.H.; high-school branches at Lowell High, Dracut High, and Nashua High School South; a loan center in Lowell; and a mortgage center in Chelmsford.

TEWKSBURY >> Catch a showing of “Flowers of the Killer Moon,” on Friday, Feb. 9, from 6:30 to 10 p.m., in the Meeting Room of the Tewksbury Public Library, 300 Chandler St. The R-rated historical crime drama stars Leonardo Dicaprio, Robert De Niro and Lily Gladstone, and is directed by Martin Scorsese.

The film is based on the book “Killers of the Flower Moon: The Osage Murders and the Birth of the FBI,” by David Grann.

Doors open at 6 p.m. Pizza and water will be served. A $2 donation is suggested. Sponsored by the Friends of the Library and Tewksbury Lions Club.

‘Black Girl Love’ indie panel

Lowell’s Pollard Memorial Library, in partnershi­p with the

Ashland Public Library, hosts a virtual “Black Girl Love: Indie Romance Writers’ Panel,” with independen­tly published romance

authors Alexandria House, Katrina Jackson and Ines Johnson on Monday, Feb. 12, from 7 to 8 p.m.

The authors will talk about their journey to being self-published, the romance community, their books and the rise of indie

publishing in the last few years. The event is sponsored by the Friends of the Ashland Public Library.
