Community group meeting space
TYNGSBORO >> Community groups can now register with the town to reserve low-cost meeting space at the Council on Aging, 169 Westford Road. The Select Board is making this space available to Tyngsboro-based groups for an annual fee of $50. No additional payment is required. Fees collected will be used to clean the space.
Registration must be renewed annually. Groups can reserve meeting space for no more than twice a month, and reservations must be made at least 14 days — and no more than 60 days — in advance. The space is available Monday through Friday from 4 to 9 p.m., Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Businesses and forprofit enterprises are not eligible to reserve this space.
Use of the meeting space is as is and no staff are provided by the town. Groups are required to leave the meeting space in the same condition as they found it and shall comply with all rules for use in the above policy. Violation of the policy will result in a group’s registration being revoked.

Chess Club
LOWELL >> The Lowell Chess Club meets Tuesday, April 9, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., in the ground floor Community Room of the Pollard Memorial Library, 401 Merrimack St. All skills levels are welcome. Bring or borrow a chess set, and learn or share board moves with other chess aficionados. No registration is required. Movie time
TEWKSBURY >> Catch a showing of “Poor Things” on Friday, April 12, from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m., in the Meeting Room of the Tewksbury Public Library, 300 Chandler St. The R-rated drama stars Emma Stone as Bella Baxter, a young woman brought back to life by the unorthodox scientist Dr. Godwin Baxter. The film also stars Mark Ruffalo and Willem Dafoe.
Doors open at 7 p.m. Pizza and water will be served. A $2 donation is suggested. Sponsored by the Friends of the Library and Tewksbury Lions Club.

Earth Month activity
WESTFORD >> The League of Women Voters of Westford is co-sponsoring Westford Earth Month with Westford Climate Action to host a variety of family- and earthfriendly events throughout the month of April.
Join the conversation during “Electric Vehicles 101,” on Thursday, April 11, 7:00 p.m., Millennium Building (behind Abbot School), 23 Depot St. or via Zoom. Westford Climate Action is a grassroots organization of town residents who are concerned about the climate crisis and advocate for mitigating actions that can be taken locally.
