Tailgate sale: The Yucaipa Valley Gem and Mineral Society hosts its Summer Madness Tailgate Sale 8 a.m.-3p.m. July 31at the society’s workshop, 34861Yucaipa Blvd., Yucaipa, behind One Stop Tire and Auto Repair. The sale will feature finished items such as sterling silver rings, pendants and bolo ties, plus cabochons, spheres, slabs, mineral specimens, crystals and more. etc. Members will also give tours of the shop.

Run Through the Pines: Crestline’s Run Through the Pines and Family Fun Fest is Aug. 6, featuring a 5k and 10k run or walk around Lake Gregory.
