September 2, 1973 - July 8, 2022

Susana Lacey, of Colton, CA, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, July 8, 2022, at 6:36 pm at Chandler Regional Hospital in Chandler, Arizona. In mid-May of 2022, Susan was diagnosed with metastatic gastric cancer. Soon after, she and her husband decided to go to a specialty cancer treatment facility in Scottsdale, Arizona, to fight for her life. While undergoing treatment, she took a turn for the worse and was quickly rushed to the ER, where she passed away in her loving husband’s arms.

Susana was born in the state of Jalisco, Mexico, and was raised in a small town called Ooconahua. When she was a year and a half, her parents left Mexico and moved to America. Susana spent most of her life growing up in Colton, CA and graduated in 1992 from Colton High School.

In 1990, Susana met her husband Mario Lacey, and on Valentine’s Day, in 1993 he asked for her hand in marriage, and on August 1, 1998, wedding bells rang out. Although they never had children due to medical issues their love stayed intact until the day she passed away.

After graduating from high school, Susana earned a degree in clerical work at a technical college. Later, she switched careers and became a successful businesswoman and a Regional Vice President (RVP) for Primerica Financial Services Inc.

Susana is now united with her two brothers who passed before her. She leaves behind her adoring husband (Mario Lacey) of 23 years of marriage, just weeks away from their 24th Anniversary. She also leaves behind her father, Emiliano Cortez De Santiago; her mother, Cecilia Vargas De Santiago; two sisters, Alma Munoz and Leonarda De Santiago; one brother Cristian De Santiago; her mother-in-law, and fatherin-law with a host of brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and many godchildren; uncles, aunts, cousins, and many friends who loved her so dearly.
