Rotary barbecue fundraiser
The Sunnyvale Rotary Club is hosting a drivethrough, takeout tri-tip dinner on Nov. 14 to benefit its programs.
The dinner comes with tri-tip, baked potato, green salad, roll and two cookies for $25. All dinners must be preordered and paid for by Nov. 11. To order, visit https://portal.clubrunner.ca/2163.
Proceeds from this fundraiser will benefit Rotary’s literacy programs, community grants, high school scholarships, international projects in Haiti and Chile, Sunnyvale Community Services and Our Kids Our Community Lunch Program.

Owning an EV
The city of Sunnyvale is hosting a Nov. 18 webinar on “EV 101: An Introduction to Owning Electric Vehicles.”
The free online workshop will cover the benefits of EVs, available makes and models, how to charge electric vehicles, and incentives for owning one.

Health lectures
Bay Area Older Adults, a nonprofit dedicated to improving the health and well-being of adults ages 50 and older, is hosting two free virtual health education lectures in November.
The topic for Nov. 12 is “GMOs and Our Food Supply.” On Nov. 19, “Essential Nutrients and Vitamins: How to Distinguish the Good from the Bad” will be up for discussion.
