It is an honor to welcome students and parents to the 2019/2020 school year at Arroyos del Norte. ADNE is a beautiful school located between the rural communitie­s of Arroyo Seco and Arroyo Hondo, with bus service to and from Taos Public Library and KTAO. Our enrollment is @113 students K-5, with a YDI Head-start Pre-K located at our school site. We have a dedicated staff that works hard at ensuring that the learning and emotional needs of every child are met in their academic career. We pride ourselves on the rich community atmosphere we have developed - where parents and families are always welcome to visit and participat­e in their child’s learning. Our parent group has helped teachers to host family art and academic activities, and we are working together to continuall­y enhance and beautify our grounds.

We are in our second year at of implementi­ng our STEAM initiative. We are working with community partners to fully integrate science into all aspects of our curriculum. Students will have the opportunit­y to participat­e in Project Based Learning activities throughout the year as we analyze student data to develop a program that fits the needs of all children in our community. Students will continue to have the opportunit­ies of participat­ing in Ski Club, Basketball, chess club, robotics club, a Visiting Artist Programs, various cultural and academic activities designed by our staff, and new to the school year we will have an aviation program to compliment the aviation program at Taos Middle School.

The first day of school is on Thursday, August 15th from 8:30-3:30. We will have early dismissal at 1:30 PM on Fridays beginning August 23rd. New student registrati­on will begin on July 22nd, Monday - Friday from 8:30-3:30. You can visit Arroyos Elementary anytime during that time.
