ART IN SCHOOLS

Art in Schools will commence our thirteenth year 2019-20.

AIS is the core program of the Harwood Museum of Art. In 2018-19, AIS welcomed 791 students including 141 special needs students from Taos Municipal School district. Each student visited the museum four times during the school year receiving 8 hours of instruction. The museum visits are age appropriate, object based experiences where the vibrant arts legacy of Taos nurtures joyful learning. The Education Department of the Harwood Museum of Art raises 100% of the funds required for our programs so that the community of Taos may receive a journey of the mind and a life of the imagination free of charge.
