Hunting and wildlife

-

The New Mexico Department of Game and Fish is reminding hunters that with hunting season in full swing across the state, the department will be conducting roadblocks to collect harvest data and detect wildlife law violations. The department’s officers may be assisted by the U.S. Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management, state police and local sheriff’s offices. Officers will also be checking compliance with off-highway vehicles and ATVs as well as wood permits.

When you harvest an animal somewhere in Taos County or Northern New Mexico this season, remember to take a photo and write down the details because The Taos News will be doing another end-ofyear wrapup of the hunting season.
