The following is a condensed version of Taos Police reports from July 8-13.

JULY 8

1:47 a.m. Disturbing the peace, Ranchitos Housing Authority – A caller said her kids couldn’t sleep because her neighbors were blasting music.

6:26 a.m. Public indecency, Smith’s – A caller said a naked woman was walking around the parking lot. 12:04 p.m. Animal stray, Peacock Lane – A caller said his black and white cat had been missing since 5 a.m.

JULY 9

1:12 a.m. Suspicious circumstan­ce, Gusdorf Road – A caller said a driver in an Impala looked like they were going to break into a house.

9:34 a.m. Traffic stop, Hinds & Hinds – A caller said a green and silver Chevy Silverado was passing everyone in the median.

10:21 a.m.

– A caller said a woman inside the store was not wearing a mask.

11:16 a.m. Animal noise, Montano Lane – A caller said her neighbor has seven dogs that were barking and making a lot noise.

11:45 p.m. Larceny, Bella Vista Apartments – A caller said that his ex-girlfriend stole about $70 from his wallet.

1:22 p.m. Welfare check, Kit Carson Park – A caller said a man driving a

Dodge Ram looked to be intoxicate­d. 2:46 p.m. Burglary, Camino de la Placita – A caller said some people had broken into the school located across from the John Dunn parking lot.

4:09 p.m. Shopliftin­g, Walgreens – A caller said a man was in the store shopliftin­g.

4:52 p.m.

– A caller wanted to report her neighbor. She said her neighbor had brought her daughter, who is positive for COVID-19, to live with her in Taos. A responding officer determined the family was not violating the public health order.

7:23 p.m. Traffic accident, injury, Smith’s – A caller said a civilian vehicle and a sheriff’s deputy vehicle had been in an accident. The civilian vehicle had flipped over.

JULY 10

9:22 a.m. Welfare check, Camino de la Placita – A caller wanted a welfare check on a man who had gone rock climbing in Colorado. Someone found his climbing gear and backpack. Law enforcemen­t later made contact with him.

9:43 a.m. Trespassin­g, Storytelle­r – A caller said a couple people in a white Ford Taurus looked like they were setting up camp near the movie theater.

12:41 p.m. Animal stray, Kit Carson Park – A caller said there were a lot of people at the park with their dogs off their leashes. 2:17 p.m. Larceny, Gusdorf Road – A caller said someone had stolen her bike from under her front porch. 5:35 p.m. Traffic accident, Walmart – A caller said there was a three-vehicle accident in front of the store. One vehicle was in the grass at the Hotel Don Fernando.

8:09 p.m.

– A caller said about 25 males were playing basketball at the park without masks on. An officer made contact with them and they agreed to put on their masks. 10:13 p.m. Poisoning-ingestion, Weimer Road – A caller said her son was overdosing on methamphet­amine.

JULY 11

12:12 a.m. Warrant, Taos County Adult Detention Center – A caller said a woman at the detention center had an active warrant out of Pine County, Minnesota.

11:27 p.m.

– A caller said quite a few people on the plaza were not wearing masks.

11:42 p.m.

– A caller said a male was trying to start a fire under the cottonwood trees.

1:28 p.m. Harassment, Taos Police Department – A caller wanted to speak to an officer about being sexually harassed.

5:21 p.m.

– A caller said there were 10-12 motorcycli­sts at Taos Plaza who were not wearing masks. 8:36 p.m.

– A caller said a man at the bus stop wasn’t wearing a mask.

JULY 12

3:07 a.m. Traffic stop, Randall Lumber and Hardware – An officer reminded someone about the curfew. 3:14 a.m.

– An officer reminded someone about the curfew.

9:28 a.m. Reckless driver, Hampton Inn – A caller said a minivan was driving backward with its flashers blinking on State Road 68.

10:15 a.m. Civil complaint, Lund Street – A caller said his neighbors were dumping dirty diapers in his yard.

12:02 p.m.

– A caller said a couple in the store was not wearing masks. The man had a mustache and a big belt buckle.

7:24 p.m. Burns, Subway – A caller said someone had thrown chemicals on an employee who stays in a trailer in the back. The caller said the man’s skin was burning and bubbling up. 7:47 p.m.

– A caller said a teenage girl was being physically abused by her stepfather.

JULY 13

7:37 a.m. Trespassin­g, Bent Street

– A caller said a homeless man was sleeping on her property.

8:02 a.m.

– A dark-colored Ford, a brown Dodge and a white SUV had crashed in the intersecti­on with Paseo del Pueblo Sur.

8:45 a.m.

– A caller said a truck in front of her did not put on his signal and sideswiped her vehicle. 2:02 p.m. Assault, Orca Carwash

– A caller said he was assaulted by a man in a white SUV.

2:45 p.m.

– A caller said he had been hit from behind by another vehicle.

3:33 p.m.

– A caller said store employees were not not wearing their masks correctly. When he asked one of them to wear his mask correctly, he was refused service at the store. 5:28 p.m. Animal abuse, Smith’s – A caller said there was a dog in a car with the windows down, but it was so hot the caller was concerned for the animal.

7:30 p.m. Shots fired, La Morada Road – A caller said around 11 shots had been fired in the area.
