-

Accomplished her full circle of life on September 28, 2020, the day of her birthday. Tina was born in Taos, N.M. on September 28, 1947 to the late Beres J. Romero and Fabiola Trujillo Romero. Tina is proceeded in death by her infant son, sister, Ada Romero, brother, Raymond Romero, brother-in-law, Norbert Martinez, brother-in-law, Felimon Martinez, nephew, Benji Apodaca and aunt, Lorraine Romero. Tina is survived by her kind hearted and loving husband of 50 years, Juan Martinez, Treasured son, Mathew Martinez (Jessica), Cherished daughter, Maya Martinez, Precious granddaughter, Zephania, brother, Gabriel J Romero, Loving and Favorite uncle, Pacomio Trujillo (Betty) aunt, Lorraine Trujillo, uncle, Levi Mondragon, aunt, Trini Romero, brother-in-law, Erminio Martinez, sisters-in-law, Ramona Bender, Maxine Martinez, Rosina Apodaca (Melecio) and Odie Martinez. Tina proudly wed her husband on December 6, 1969 on the altar of San Francisco de Asis Church. With their devoted love to one another, they were able to build a solid foundation, where they grew together as a whole, with that they were able to perceive their love the right way, together they grew rich in love. Tina’s all-time favorite thing to do was go to the casino spending endless hours there. Her favorite song “Winning Chime from the Slot Machine” (personally never heard of it) but she knew the ringing sound so well. In our time together, mom taught us some of life’s most important lessons, and she did it in such a unique, but powerful way, rarely, if ever did she preach a specific message. Rather, mom inspired us and influenced us through her actions. While with her words she was humble and caring, yet she was bold and powerful. As a family, we endured many challenges, but somehow it all worked, it worked because we were not alone, we had each other. Our togetherness enabled us to navigate the constant change and to conquer the challenges. Everything Mom went through, she somehow managed to keep her priorities straight and her faith strong, this is a wonderful legacy to leave her family. Mom was a beautiful woman with a golden heart, always kept her family close and never far apart. Birthdays cakes and delicious homemade food, our childhood was filled with laughter and happy moods. Her home was always open for anyone who came by; she always wore a welcoming smile with that beautiful sparkle in her eye. We will always remember the perfume you wore; everyday our hearts will miss you more and more. You have always been a good example of life to lead; you have always been there for us in a time of need. Your love for dad was always so strong; you got to spend your life with the one you love. Your time has come for you to rest so go in peace and get your rest. It is with heavy hearts and tears in our eyes that we lay you down to rest and say our final good byes. Funeral mass was held on Tuesday October 06, 2020 at San Francisco de Asis Catholic Church with a proper burial at the new Llano Quemado Cemetery.
