Was born in 1934 in Peñasco, New Mexico. In the 1950’s, she moved to San Francisco, California before returning to New Mexico in the late 60’s. She was a devout Catholic and member of the Guadalupan­as at the Our Lady of Guadalupe. She was a long-time employee at the Taos Leather Craft, until they shut their doors, in the late 90’s. Mary went on to work with the Ancianos in the grandmothe­rs program at Enos Garcia Elementary. Here, she helped the Early Childhood teachers in their classrooms. She met the most amazing people who she grew to love as her own family. She is preceded in death by her partner Arturo Gonzales, and parents Rubel and Rachel Rodarte, two sisters, Louie Visarraga and Merlie Tafoya, her daughter in law Peggie Rodarte, and grandkids Geraldine Rodarte, and Billy Rodarte. Mary was a mother, grandmothe­r, aunt, sister, and very great friend. She is survived by siblings Bertha Rodarte, Libby, Rodarte, Dan Rodarte, Ike/Bertha Rodarte, Rudy/Nestora Rodarte, Michael Rodarte, Felix Rodarte. Mary also leaves behind her sons Joe Mike Rodarte (Joe Mike Jr) Charlie Macias and four daughters, Margie/Richard Romero (Gabriel/Autumn and Isaac/ Melissa). Liz/Melvin Mah (Angel, Kevin, Joseph, Anthony, Manuel, and Eliza Ana). Kathie Rodarte (Steven and Krysta). Debbie Rodarte (Lawrence/Michelle, Santiago, and Shaylee). She leaves behind a long legacy of great grandkids and many loved ones. In the afternoon of October 5th, 2020, Mary made the journey to heaven and is in the arms of our lord.
