Stray Hearts Animal Shelter Weekly Report

-

We all need love, regardless of age. This is 14-year-old Zayla. She may be gray around the muzzle but she is young at heart and would love a warm spot in a loving home to catch her second spring and fill her days with joy.

NOV. 4- 9, 2020

The shelter had “a pretty crazy week with litters of puppies and kittens arriving in boxes, bags and laundry baskets,” wrote shelter director Donna Karr. “Our foster coordinator, Brandi Lucrecio, did an amazing job of placing all of the vulnerable ones in foster care and the community dropped off supplies by the carload. We have 47 pets on adoption hold just waiting for spay/neuter because we got backed up on surgeries with our vet out for two weeks.” This week’s activity:

RETURN TO OWNER: 11

INTAKES: 58 stray, 10 puppies/kittens CENSUS: 120 dogs (27 foster); 91 cats (20 foster)
