The following is a condensed version of Taos Police reports from Nov. 11-16.
NOV. 11 Information report, Zuni
9:04 a.m.
Street – A caller from out of state said someone was trying to rent a condominium they own and was posing as the true owner.
10:57 a.m. Fraud-forgery, Smith’s
– A caller said an employee had accepted a counterfeit $100 bill. 11:18 a.m. Civil complaint, Wendy’s – A caller said the employees were refusing to return his card and give him a refund.
1:25 p.m. Commercial burglary, Vagrant Heart – A caller said someone had cut through her chain-link fence and stolen her gate.
2:15 p.m. Criminal damage, Walmart – A caller said someone had gotten into her vehicle, stolen a hatchet and spray-painted the car’s interior.
7:37 p.m. Suspicious circumstance, Walmart – A caller said a male in a black hoodie and camo pants was walking around the parking lot looking into vehicles.
8:04 p.m. Poisoning-ingestion, Mariposa Apartments – A caller said a male who had taken a shot of heroin was breathing but unresponsive.
8:49 p.m. Game and fish, Juniper Road – A caller said there was a big bear in his yard.
NOV. 12
8:30 a.m. Graffiti, Taos Plaza –
A caller said someone had spraypainted the statue of Padre Martinez. 8:57 a.m. Domestic disturbance, Paseo del Pueblo Sur – A caller said a man was punching a woman near the intersection of Paseo del Pueblo Sur and Este Es Road.
1:48 p.m. Fraud-forgery, Taos Police Department – A caller wanted to report fraudulent activity on his bank account at Nusenda Bank.
4:50 p.m. Harassment, Holy Cross Medical Center – A caller said there was an irate male in the emergency room.
6:02 p.m. Traffic accident, no injury, Magical Tattoo – A caller said a driver in a red sedan hit his vehicle and then fled the area.
8:31 p.m. Trespassing, Walgreens – A caller said two people were dumpster diving in the back of the store and were refusing to leave.
