Angel Tree Project 2020

- By CAV board and staff Community Against Violence is a nonprofit located in Taos.

Community Against Violence is continuing efforts to ensure the health and safety of our community and staff.

Due to the current pandemic and COVID-19 highly contagious spread, we hope that the changes we need to make to the Angel Tree Project this year will not discourage anyone from donating to needy families.

CAV staff feel strongly about continuing the community’s 24-year history of helping to provide for families in need during the holidays so we are making some changes to the annual Angel Tree Project this year to have it be safer for everyone.

If you would like to donate to the Angel Tree Program to help children who have been impacted by domestic and sexual violence, please make donations of gift cards (or a monetary donation so that CAV can purchase needed gift cards) and drop them off no later than Friday, Dec. 18, at 945 Salazar Road.

CAV will log these donations in and distribute them out to families with children whom we have worked with throughout the year.

CAV would like to thank you for your generosity in previous years. We know that gift cards may not seem as exciting as wrapping presents and delivering them for children in need – but it will mean the world to those who would not be able to have gifts this year otherwise.

We know that the spirit of giving is alive and well and hope that you will choose to donate holiday gift cards to help families in need and encourage your friends, coworkers, and families to do as well.

If you have any questions, call the Angel Tree coordinator, CAV staff person Loretta directly at (575) 779-0968.

Thank you and best wishes for safe and happy holidays.
